On November 28, 2025, at the Triennale Milano, three students from Centro Studi Casnati — Aurora Zanet, Edoardo Gorla, and Lorenzo Bernasco — represented the only Italian school invited as speakers to the Youth Forum of Regeneration 20|30, an international event dedicated to regenerative models for society and the economy.
For Casnati, and in particular for the Casnati for ESD project, this was a moment of great significance: the students took part in the session that directly contributed to the drafting of the International Regeneration Manifesto, bringing a fresh and original generational perspective.
A Forum Focused on the Future
During the morning, the students attended talks by leading figures from the business, scientific, and educational sectors.
“The atmosphere was very formal, but extremely fascinating”, Aurora explains.
Among the most impactful contributions, the students highlighted:
- Sandro Formica, on the regeneration of people as the foundation for the regeneration of the planet;
- Paola Batistoni, on the role of energy innovation;
- Andrea Illy, who demonstrated how the ecological transition is already a competitive driver for businesses.
“It was surprising to hear how much trust all the speakers placed in the ecological transition, not only for the environment but also for companies”, Edoardo explains.
The Speaker Experience: “An Unexpected Challenge That Helped Us Grow”
In the afternoon, the three students took the floor at the Youth Forum, which was conducted entirely in English.
Unlike the other organizations, each represented by a single speaker, Casnati was granted the opportunity to present four voices: the three students and their teacher, Prof. Federica Quartesan, coordinator of the Casnati for ESD project.
“However, we only had a total of eight minutes. We had to give up other personal insights we had prepared and share the professor’s speaking time among ourselves”, Aurora recounts.
This turned the experience into an exercise in clarity and collaboration under pressure: “It was an unexpected situation that taught us how important it is to reorganize ourselves in a very short amount of time”, Lorenzo adds.
Despite the limited time, the students received a long round of applause and numerous compliments from speakers, stakeholders, and representatives of international organizations.
“During the presentation, I wasn’t as nervous as I expected: the environment was professional but also surprisingly welcoming”, says Edoardo.
The Contribution: Casnati’s Regenerative Model
In their presentation, the students described how Casnati for ESD is already putting into practice many of the principles discussed during the Forum: “We showed the importance of adopting a regenerative ecosystem within schools, starting from the concrete experience of Casnati”, Edoardo explains.
For the organizers, the presence of three adolescent speakers delivering a structured and coherent contribution was a particularly appreciated surprise. Many stakeholders emphasized how Casnati represents a unique case in Italy in terms of vision, continuity, and practical implementation.

The Most Formative Moment: Dialogue with Stakeholders and Speakers
For all three students, the most meaningful part came after the event: “Talking with people from completely different backgrounds was stimulating. We felt that our contribution was truly listened to”, Aurora says.
Edoardo adds: “They told us that Casnati is a pioneer. It was exciting to feel how much value they recognize in our school and in our project.”
An Experience That Lasts
For all three students, participating in the Regeneration 20|30 Forum was far more than just an event: “I will always carry this experience with me, because it allowed me to overcome insecurities and grow as a person”, Lorenzo says.
“It is incredible to contribute to a concrete international document that aims to truly change our institutions”, Edoardo concludes.
